Role Description This is an on-site contract role based in Maharashtra, India for experienced Mechanical Engineers specializing in boiler overhauls. The role involves leading and executing boiler inspection, maintenance, and overhaul activities, including shutdown planning, component replacement, and performance optimization. Daily responsibilities include supervising on-site mechanical teams, coordinating with project managers and client representatives, reviewing technical drawings and specifications, and ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements. The engineer will troubleshoot mechanical issues, support root-cause analyses, prepare technical reports, and document work completed. The position requires close monitoring of project timelines, resource utilization, and quality of execution to achieve safe and efficient boiler operations. Qualifications • Candidates should possess strong Mechanical Engineering knowledge and experience, preferably in boiler systems and heavy industrial equipment. • Candidates should possess skills in Machine Design and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) for reviewing, modifying, and interpreting mechanical layouts and components. • Candidates should possess Project Management capabilities, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination with cross-functional teams. • Candidates should possess Research and Development (R&D) skills to support performance improvement, reliability enhancement, and technical problem-solving. • Relevant qualifications include a degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, with prior hands-on experience in boiler overhauls or power plant maintenance. • Additional beneficial skills include familiarity with industry safety standards, knowledge of pressure equipment regulations, strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, and effective communication with site teams and clients. • Ability to work in demanding on-site conditions, maintain strict safety practices, and adapt to varying project requirements is essential.
