About the Role Bhagyalaxmi Gas Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a practical and responsible Mechanical Engineer to supervise workshop activities and support project execution. The role involves hydrogen cascade fabrication, hydrotesting, maintenance, site installation, testing, documentation and routine coordination with clients and vendors. This is a hands-on engineering role involving both workshop and project responsibilities. Key Responsibilities • Supervise fabrication, assembly and inspection of hydrogen cascades, manifolds, piping systems and mechanical packages. • Ensure fabrication is completed according to approved drawings, specifications, BOM and project scope. • Supervise cascade hydrotesting, maintenance, repair and regular workshop activities. • Check materials, dimensions, workmanship, welding, assembly and component installation. • Coordinate with workshop technicians, fabricators, vendors and subcontractors. • Plan and supervise site erection, piping/tubing installation and mechanical execution. • Conduct or supervise pressure testing, leak testing, nitrogen purging and commissioning activities. • Prepare daily progress reports, inspection checklists, test reports, material records and other project documentation. • Coordinate with clients regarding routine technical queries, inspections, site activities and project progress. • Report deviations, material shortages, quality concerns and execution issues to management. • Ensure compliance with applicable safety procedures during workshop and site activities. • Travel to project sites across India whenever required. Required Qualifications and Skills • Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. • 3–6 years of relevant experience in fabrication, piping, pressure systems, industrial gas equipment, process skids, pressure vessels or project execution. • Ability to understand GA drawings, fabrication drawings, P&IDs, piping layouts and BOMs. • Practical knowledge of workshop fabrication, welding, piping/tubing installation and pressure testing. • Working knowledge of computers, email, internet, PDF documents and MS Office, particularly Word and Excel. • Basic spoken and written English for client communication, emails, report preparation and documentation. • Good coordination, communication and problem-solving ability. • Willingness to work in the workshop and travel to project sites. Preferred Experience Experience in hydrogen, CNG, LPG, industrial gases, high-pressure piping, gas skids, cascades or pressure-vessel-related work will be preferred. Candidates with strong relevant mechanical execution experience may also apply.
