A Site Supervisor (often referred to as a Construction Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations at a construction site or project location. Their primary role is to ensure that construction activities are carried out safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget. Job Description: Site Supervisor Job Title: Site Supervisor Department: Construction/Engineering Reports To: Project Manager or Site Manager Key Responsibilities: - Project Supervision: - Oversee day-to-day site operations. - Coordinate and supervise workers, subcontractors, and material deliveries. - Ensure adherence to construction plans, schedules, and specifications. - Health & Safety Compliance: - Enforce safety protocols and ensure the site meets legal and organizational safety standards. - Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments. - Quality Control: - Monitor workmanship and quality of materials used. - Identify and rectify issues in office to prevent defects and delays. - Documentation and Reporting: - Maintain daily site records, including work progress, incidents, and inspections. - Report progress to the Project Manager and provide input during meetings. - Resource Management: - Manage equipment and material inventory. - Ensure efficient use of labour and materials on-site. - Stakeholder Coordination: - Liaise with engineers, architects, and clients as needed. - Communicate any site-related issues or updates to relevant parties. Requirements: - Education: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. - Experience: 2-5 years in a supervisory role in construction or engineering projects. - Skills: - Strong leadership and organizational skills - Problem-solving and decision-making ability - Proficient in reading construction drawings and plans - Familiar with construction software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project) Working Conditions: - Full-time, primarily on-site. - Exposure to outdoor weather conditions and construct .
