Sr Frontend Developer, React - Chennai

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Senior Frontend Engineer with strong expertise in building scalable and high-performance web applications using React. The ideal candidate will lead frontend development efforts, define UI architecture, mentor team members, and deliver seamless user experiences across modern web platforms. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of scalable frontend applications using React.js Architect reusable UI components and front-end libraries for future use Collaborate with UX/UI designers, backend developers, and product teams Translate business requirements into high-quality, responsive user interfaces Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and performance Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness Implement state management solutions (Redux, Context API, etc.) Integrate RESTful APIs / GraphQL services with frontend applications Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code Conduct code reviews and enforce frontend best practices Mentor junior and mid-level developers Drive frontend technical decisions and improvements Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) Required Skills & Qualifications: 7+ years of experience in frontend development Strong expertise in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern ES6+ features Extensive experience with React.js and its ecosystem Deep understanding of component-based architecture Experience with state management tools (Redux, MobX, or Context API) Strong knowledge of REST APIs / GraphQL integration Experience with build tools like Webpack, Vite, Babel Familiarity with version control systems like Git Good understanding of responsive design and UI/UX principles Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments Preferred Skills: Experience with TypeScript Knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress) Experience with CI/CD pipelines Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Exposure to micro frontend architecture Performance tuning and frontend optimization techniques Leadership Expectations (Senior Role): Define and drive frontend architecture standards Mentor and guide development teams Review and improve code quality across the team Contribute to technical roadmap and innovation Take ownership of end-to-end frontend delivery Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking Excellent communication and stakeholder management Ability to work in fast-paced environments Strong ownership and accountability
