Backend Engineer HPC Portal

Job Description: Backend Engineer – HPC Portal Experience: 2–4 Years Location: Remote Required Skills • Linux Administration (RHEL/Rocky Linux), Bash Scripting, SSH • Apache/NGINX and HTTP Basics • Git and Version Control • Prometheus/Grafana Monitoring • At least one mandatory skill: Ruby/Ruby on Rails or Slurm/HPC Scheduler Good-to-Have Skills • Open OnDemand (OOD), JupyterHub • Docker/Apptainer, Docker Compose • YAML, ERB, and Rails Debugging • LDAP/Active Directory, SAML, OpenID • Ansible, Lmod, NFS, SSSD Key Responsibilities • Install and configure Linux-based HPC portals and web servers. • Build and test interactive application forms for Jupyter, TensorBoard, and VS Code. • Deploy containerized applications and dependencies. • Validate SSH, NFS, SSSD, and system configurations. • Support portal customization, testing, UAT, and technical documentation.
