Civil Site Engineer – Site Supervision

JOB DESCRIPTION – Civil Site Engineer – Site Supervision & Labour Interview Assessment. Job Purpose The Civil Site Engineer will supervise and coordinate civil construction activities at the project site, ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, health and safety requirements, and project schedules. The role also involves travelling across India to conduct labour interviews and assess workers’ practical trade skills. The candidate must be willing to relocate to the UAE whenever required by business and project needs. Key Areas of Responsibility • Supervise and coordinate daily civil construction activities in accordance with approved drawings and project specifications. • Monitor site progress, manpower deployment, and subcontractor activities to meet project schedules. • Inspect foundations, reinforcement, reinforced cement concrete (RCC) works, and structural activities to ensure compliance with quality requirements. • Coordinate with the Construction Manager, consultants, subcontractors, and other departments to resolve site-related issues. • Assign tasks to site supervisors, chargehands, and labourers, and monitor work productivity. • Prepare and maintain daily progress reports, site measurements, bar bending schedules (BBS), bills of quantities (BOQ), and subcontractor billing records. • Ensure compliance with project quality requirements, approved construction methods, and health and safety standards. • Coordinate material requirements, site resources, inspections, and corrective actions to ensure smooth workflow and timely project completion. • Travel across different locations in India, as required, to conduct interviews of labour candidates for construction projects. • Assess workers’ practical skills through trade tests and hands-on evaluations, verify their suitability for the required roles, and provide feedback on their capabilities. • Coordinate with the recruitment and project teams regarding interview schedules, candidate assessments, and manpower selection. • Relocate to the UAE whenever required by the business, project deployment plan, or operational needs. Role Specifications • Academic Qualifications: Diploma or B.Tech in Civil Engineering. • Work Experience Required: Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar civil site engineering role within the construction industry. • Additional Certification: Not specified in the original job description. • Travel and Mobility: Must be willing to travel across India for labour interviews and practical skills assessments and relocate to the UAE whenever required by the business.
