Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Jaipur for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer. The role involves leading the mechanical design of exoskeleton products from concept through prototyping, testing, and final production. Daily responsibilities include creating and reviewing detailed CAD models and engineering drawings, performing design calculations and machine design analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as product management, manufacturing, and quality. The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will optimize designs for performance, durability, ergonomics, and cost, while ensuring compliance with relevant standards and safety requirements. The role also includes mentoring junior engineers, supporting design reviews, and contributing to continuous improvement in design processes and tools. Qualifications • Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and Design Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to complex, real-world product challenges. • Hands-on experience in Machine Design and Product Design, including mechanisms, materials selection, and design for manufacturability and assembly (DFM/DFA). • Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo or similar), including 3D modeling, assemblies, and detailed drawings. • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline. • Experience in wearable devices, medical devices, robotics, or exoskeletons is highly beneficial. • Knowledge of relevant standards, tolerancing (GD&T), and mechanical testing and validation methods. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and safety. • Ability to work collaboratively on-site in Jaipur, lead projects, and mentor junior team members. • Effective written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and cross-functional collaboration.
