Job Description

Preferred Experience : 5–7 years of experience in mechanical design and aerospace systems Qualifications : Bachelor’s / Master’s in Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering Strong knowledge of mechanism design, manufacturing processes, and assembly integration Experience with tolerance analysis, GD&T, and subsystem integration Exposure to aerospace certification and quality standards (AS9100D preferred) Certification Awareness: Familiarity with aerospace standards (AS9100D, CS-UAS) Innovation: Exposure to lightweight structures, additive manufacturing, and advanced joining techniques Process Improvement: Ability to streamline CAD/PLM workflows for traceability and compliance Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge transfer within the team Required Skill Sets & Tools • CAD: Siemens NX, CATIA • FEA: ANSYS Workbench, SolidWorks Simulation • PLM: Teamcenter or equivalent • Documentation: GD&T (ASME Y14.5), BOM management, ECO/ECN processes Key Responsibility Areas • Design & Development • Design mechanical systems and mechanisms (landing gear, folding wings, payload deployment systems) • Develop advanced parametric and surface models for complex assemblies • Analysis & Validation • Perform tolerance stack-up analysis • Conduct basic FEA for structural sizing using ANSYS Workbench and SolidWorks Simulation • Drawings & Documentation • Create complex 2D manufacturing drawings with GD&T per ASME Y14.5 • Structure and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) • Support Engineering Change Orders (ECO/ECN) execution • Assembly & Integration • Perform Digital Mock-Up (DMU) and clash detection • Manage subsystem-level assemblies and integration checks • Route wire harnesses and tubing for system-level integration • Collaboration • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (aero, structures, manufacturing) • Support supplier discussions for manufacturability and cost optimization • Participate in design reviews and contribute to certification readiness
