Your HRBP can provide the Job Architecture description if needed. The Mechanical Engineer supports new product development for liquid cooling. The Mechanical Engineer works closely with product designer to develop / support new product development of Liquid Cooling – Thermal Product Business Unit Job Summary: A brief synopsis of the role for this set of work. This summary can include details about products, regions, scope and other details unique to a GBU, department or position. The Mechanical Engineer supports New Product Development tasks for the company’s Thermal products. Responsibilities: Please list at least 5 duties/accountabilities . Work in a multi-disciplinary engineering team for New product development, Engineering to order for following ranges of units: Liquid Cooling Product, i.e. Cooling Distribution Unit, Out Door Heat Rejection Chiller Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC), In Row Mobile To design solutions with a focus on the mechanical aspects (mainly sheet metal and piping), collaborating with suppliers, Procurement, and Industrial Engineering, being aware of the necessary product marketing inputs. To create and review product documentation (CAD drawings, specifications, bills of material). To meet objectives of cost, quality, environment and time of execution, achieving the best trade-off between market and internal customer needs. To analyze and resolve technical problems as regards products under his/her responsibility; improving, updating, reviewing the mechanical drawings according to the information from the Production, Procurement and Logistics departments, so as to simplify the assembly, reducing the costs and improving the quality. A high level of experienced CAD skill, combined with a good attention to details. Model based definition in CAD. Design using Cero has added advantage. Knowledge on data management, problem solving techniques, Pugh matrix analysis, DFMEA, DFA/DFM/DFS design for cost and serviceability. Education & Certifications: Please note minimum and preferred requirements for education. This includes degree, specializations and certifications. Bachelor In Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Requirements: Please list all experience required to perform this job. You may note some requirements as preferred. 3~7 years of engineering product development or support experience. Strong credential of working on Mechanical Design tools, MBD (Model Based Definition) experience preferred CREO preferred Significant Sheetmetal design experience Working knowledge of mechanical concepts, products, safety and test-methods. Data-entry systems familiarity & Bill of Material Creation Experience - Oracle, Agile, etc. Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve (and prevent) a wide range of problems quickly and logically. Excellent planning, organizing, documentation, and communication skills. Ability to multitask and operate in cross functional Global Development Teams.
