The OpportunityOpenText is seeking a Software Developer to work on the architecture, design, and implementation of the enterprise server protection product, which is of a large scale, highly distributed server protection product. This product covers backup of on-premises and cloud-based workloads. The ideal candidate needs to be forward-looking and pragmatic at solving problems and must have excellent communication skills.You are good at:Should be able to independently develop complex softwareTakes ownership of code quality. Actively and effectively reviews source code, takes defect prevention steps in software developed.Interacts well with peers and communicates in a clear and concise manner both verbally and written on his/her work.Actively participate and contribute to analysis, design, planning, processes, etc., Raise issues where needed and create sensitivity towards timely resolution of problems.Adopt agile development methodologies and test-driven development.What it takes:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent.Experience with C/C++Exposure to Angular, scripting languages, socket programming and inter-process communication (IPC).Good communication skills.Desire to work in an exciting and challenging atmosphere.Exposure to UNIX platforms; Linux and SOLARIS or HP-UX or AIX, etc.Knowledge of data protection (Enterprise backup and restore) business spaceExperience or exposure to Virtualization technologies (VMware, Hypervisor, etc.)Knowledge of database technologies
