We are looking for a Civil Design Engineer to join our engineering team and take ownership of civil and structural design activities for utility-scale solar power projects. 🔹 About the Role As a Civil Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, reviewing, and optimising civil and structural designs for solar power plants. The role involves working on MMS foundations, grading, drainage, roads, transformer foundations, Power Pooling Stations (PPS), BOQ and technical specifications, while coordinating closely with multidisciplinary engineering and project execution teams. 🔹 Key Responsibilities • Prepare and review civil and structural designs for utility-scale solar power plants. • Design MMS foundations and associated civil structures. • Prepare foundation drawings, site grading, drainage and internal road layouts. • Design civil works for transformer foundations and Power Pooling Stations (PPS). • Review geotechnical/soil investigation reports and determine suitable foundation systems. • Perform and review RCC and structural steel design calculations. • Prepare BOQ, material estimates and technical specifications for civil works. • Prepare design basis reports, calculations and engineering documentation. • Ensure designs comply with relevant IS codes, project specifications and client requirements. • Review contractor/vendor drawings, calculations and technical submissions and provide comments/approvals. • Coordinate with Electrical, Mechanical, Procurement and Project Execution teams for integrated engineering delivery. • Support project/site teams in resolving design and construction-related technical issues. • Identify opportunities for design optimisation, cost reduction, constructability and quality improvement. • Ensure engineering deliverables are completed within agreed quality and project timelines. 🔹 Requirements • B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognised institution. • Strong knowledge of RCC and structural steel analysis & design. • Good understanding of foundation design and geotechnical parameters. • Ability to interpret and review soil investigation/geotechnical reports. • Working knowledge of relevant IS codes and civil/structural design standards. • Proficiency in: • AutoCAD • STAAD.Pro • Google Earth Pro • MS Excel, Word & PowerPoint • Strong analytical, problem-solving and design-review skills. • Good communication and coordination skills. ⭐ Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in solar EPC / utility-scale solar projects will be preferred. Additional advantage if you have hands-on experience in: • MMS foundation design • Solar plant civil infrastructure • Transformer foundation design • Power Pooling Station (PPS) civil design • Site grading and drainage • Internal roads and plant infrastructure • Geotechnical/soil report interpretation • Solar project BOQ and estimation • Contractor/vendor drawing review • Site technical support during construction 🎯 What We’re Looking For We are looking for an engineer who can independently handle civil design deliverables, understands the practical requirements of large-scale solar projects, and can effectively coordinate between design, engineering and site execution teams.
