Junior Frontend Developer (React.js / Next.js) Company: Matamix International Location: Kinfra Advanced Technology Park, Ramanattukara, Kozhikode Job Type: Full-time Experience Level: Junior Department: Development / IT Job Summary Matamix International is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Frontend Developer with a good understanding of React.js and Next.js to join our development team. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in frontend technologies, responsive web design, API integration, and modern JavaScript development. The candidate will work closely with senior developers and designers to build, maintain, and optimize responsive, user-friendly web applications using React.js and Next.js. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain responsive web applications using React.js and Next.js. • Build reusable UI components using React components, props, state, and hooks. • Implement pages, layouts, and navigation using the Next.js App Router. • Work with Server and Client Components and implement appropriate data-fetching methods. • Create responsive and visually appealing interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, Flexbox, and Grid. • Write clean, maintainable, and well-structured JavaScript and TypeScript code. • Integrate REST APIs and handle JSON data efficiently. • Implement forms, input validation, and basic authentication workflows. • Collaborate with UI/UX designers and backend developers to deliver functional web applications. • Debug issues and improve application performance using browser developer tools. • Use Git and GitHub for version control and team collaboration. • Assist with application testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance. Essential Technical Qualifications • Strong understanding of HTML5 and semantic HTML. • Good knowledge of CSS3, Flexbox, Grid, and responsive web design. • Working knowledge of JavaScript ES6+. • Understanding of React.js, including components, props, state, hooks, and forms. • Familiarity with Next.js, particularly: • App Router and file-based routing. • Layouts and nested routes. • Server and Client Components. • Data fetching and rendering concepts. • Basic knowledge of TypeScript, including types, interfaces, generics, and typing React components. • Experience integrating REST APIs and working with JSON. • Familiarity with Git and GitHub. • Knowledge of npm or pnpm and basic command-line operations. • Ability to identify and debug frontend issues using browser DevTools. Good to Have • Experience with Tailwind CSS. • Familiarity with state management tools such as Context API, Zustand, or Redux. • Basic understanding of authentication and authorization. • Knowledge of form validation techniques. • Awareness of web accessibility standards, including WCAG. • Understanding of frontend performance optimization. • Familiarity with unit testing and component testing. • Experience deploying applications using Vercel or similar platforms. • Basic knowledge of Node.js.
