Job Description • Lead end-to-end mechanical design and product architecture for a highly miniaturized wearable device. • Develop innovative solutions for structural design, thermal management, packaging, and component integration. • Design and integrate assemblies involving PCBs, sensors, microcontrollers, batteries, diodes, MOSFETs, and connectors. • Drive CAD modeling, tolerance stack-up analysis, DFM/DFA reviews, and product optimization. • Partner with electronics, embedded systems, industrial design, and manufacturing teams. • Manage rapid prototyping, validation testing, and engineering iterations. • Conduct reliability assessments, FMEA, failure analysis, and design reviews. The Successful Applicant • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. • 10-15 years of experience in product design and development of electromechanical systems. • Proven experience designing wearable products, consumer electronics, IoT devices, or other miniaturized hardware solutions. • Strong understanding of microcontrollers, sensors, embedded electronics, PCB packaging, diodes, MOSFETs, and battery-powered systems. • Hands-on experience with injection molding, metal structures, precision assemblies, and structural engineering. • Strong knowledge of prototyping, validation, testing, manufacturing processes, and product industrialization. • Experience working within fast-paced innovation-led, startup, or New Product Introduction (NPI) environments is preferred. • Demonstrated creativity, first-principles problem-solving ability, and a track record of converting concepts into commercially viable products. • Exposure to wearables, hearables, medical devices, robotics, AR/VR hardware, or advanced consumer technology products would be advantageous.
