Job Description Architect / Civil Engineer – BOQ, Estimation & CPWD/UPPWD Specialist Location: Noida, Uttar Pradesh Experience: 5–8 years Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role We are looking for an experienced Architect / Civil Engineer with strong expertise in BOQ preparation, estimation, tender documentation and government construction procedures, particularly CPWD and PWD/VPWD systems. The candidate will work closely with the company's design and project teams, clients, consultants and contractors to develop, standardize and manage BOQs, estimates and tender documentation for building and interior projects. Key Responsibilities • Prepare detailed BOQs, detailed estimates and cost plans for civil, architectural, interior and allied works. • Have strong working knowledge of CPWD DSR, specifications, analysis of rates and tender procedures. • Experience with UPPWD/VPWD BOQ preparation and related departmental systems/processes will be highly preferred. • Develop and maintain BOQ formats, item descriptions, rate analysis and standardization systems. • Prepare detailed item descriptions covering materials, workmanship, specifications, measurement methodology and applicable standards. • Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP consultants and project teams to ensure complete and coordinated BOQs. • Review drawings and specifications and identify scope gaps, discrepancies, quantity variations and additional items. • Prepare rate analysis, market rate comparisons and justified rates for non-schedule items. • Assist in preparation and review of tender documents, NITs, schedules, technical specifications and comparative statements. • Coordinate with the client and departmental representatives regarding BOQ clarifications, quantities, specifications and rates. • Review contractor quotations, RA bills, variation statements and extra/substituted item claims. • Establish systems for measurement, reconciliation, quantity tracking and BOQ revisions. • Maintain proper documentation and revision control for all BOQs and estimates. • Liaise closely with the Noida-based company team, client representatives and project/site teams to resolve BOQ and estimation-related issues. • Ensure BOQs comply with applicable CPWD/PWD standards, specifications, codes and contractual requirements. Desired Skills & Knowledge • Excellent knowledge of CPWD DSR and CPWD Specifications. • Good communication skills • Strong understanding of PWD/UPPWD/VPWD procedures and BOQ systems. • Excellent knowledge of civil and architectural quantities and measurement. • Good understanding of building construction, finishing, interiors and MEP coordination. • Strong Excel skills, including formulas, quantity calculations and BOQ management. • Knowledge of AutoCAD for reading and reviewing drawings. • Ability to interpret architectural, structural and MEP drawings. • Good understanding of rate analysis and market rates. • Strong analytical and documentation skills. • Ability to coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors and internal teams. • Good written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Candidate The ideal candidate should have previously worked on government / institutional / large commercial projects and should be comfortable independently handling the complete BOQ and estimation process from drawing review → quantity take-off → DSR item selection → rate analysis → BOQ preparation → tender clarification → variation and billing review. Candidates with hands-on experience in CPWD and UP/VPWD tendering and BOQ systems, rather than only theoretical knowledge, will be strongly preferred. Qualification B.Arch / B.Tech / B.E. Civil or equivalent.
