Role Description The Mechanical Engineer role at SK Agarwal & Co. (JSW & JSPL) is a full-time, on-site position based in Anandapur. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, reviewing, and improving mechanical systems and components used in industrial operations, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and updating engineering drawings, collaborating with cross-functional teams on machinery installation and maintenance, and performing technical analyses to support equipment selection and optimization. The role involves participating in research and development activities, troubleshooting mechanical issues on-site, and supporting project planning, scheduling, and documentation. The Mechanical Engineer will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and company procedures. Qualifications • Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering with practical experience in industrial or manufacturing environments. • Proficiency in Machine Design and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating and modifying mechanical components and assemblies. • Experience in Project Management, including planning, coordination, and monitoring of mechanical engineering projects. • Exposure to Research and Development (R&D) activities, including testing, analysis, and implementation of design improvements. • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, and apply relevant engineering standards and codes. • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on safety and reliability. • Effective communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with operations, maintenance, and leadership teams. • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline; additional certifications in CAD or project management are an advantage.
