Job Description – Senior HVAC Design Engineer Experience 12–15 Years Location- Bangalore Department MEP Design – HVAC Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior HVAC Design Engineer with 12–15 years of expertise in designing HVAC systems for residential, commercial, mixed-use, hospitality, healthcare, and institutional projects. The candidate will be responsible for leading HVAC design activities from concept to construction, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and delivering high-quality engineering solutions within project schedules. Key Responsibilities HVAC Design • Prepare HVAC system concepts and detailed engineering designs. • Perform cooling and heating load calculations using HAP or equivalent software. • Design chilled water, VRF, DX, ventilation, smoke extraction, stair/lift lobby pressurization, kitchen ventilation, and basement ventilation systems. • Size and select chillers, pumps, cooling towers, AHUs, FCUs, TFA units, fans, heat exchangers, and associated equipment. • Prepare hydraulic calculations, duct sizing, pipe sizing, ESP calculations, and ventilation calculations. • Evaluate HVAC system options based on energy efficiency, lifecycle cost, constructability, and client requirements. Engineering Deliverables • Prepare Design Basis Reports (DBR). • Develop schematic and detailed HVAC layouts. • Prepare plant room layouts and equipment schedules. • Generate BOQs, technical specifications, tender documents, and cost estimates. • Review vendor technical submittals and equipment selections. • Respond to RFIs and technical queries during tender and construction stages. BIM & Coordination • Coordinate HVAC designs with Architectural, Structural, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and ELV disciplines. • Review and coordinate BIM/Revit models. • Participate in multidisciplinary design coordination meetings. Project Management • Lead HVAC design activities for multiple projects simultaneously. • Monitor project schedules and deliverables. • Ensure compliance with project timelines and quality standards.
