About The Job Senior Backend Developer Build and scale robust marine software systems. Backend role across Java, Spring Boot, messaging, databases and cloud, working closely with frontend teams. What You'll Do • Design and develop backend services in Java and Spring Boot • Build scalable, secure REST APIs and asynchronous, event-driven systems • Implement and manage messaging systems • Design, optimise and maintain PostgreSQL, including high-volume and time-series data • Deploy via Docker and CI/CD, with observability and monitoring built in What You'll Bring • 10+ years backend development; enterprise Java/Spring Boot • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience • Java 17+, REST APIs, async messaging, event-driven architecture • PostgreSQL: schema design, indexing, tuning • AWS and/or GCP, Docker, CI/CD, Git workflows • Prometheus and Grafana • Comfortable on Windows and Linux Nice to have RabbitMQ Timescale DB or similar time-series databases • Protobuf API contract testing Trelleborg is an equal opportunity employer!
