Location: Pune Experience: 5–7 Years Openings: 1 Employment Type: Contractor / Sub-con About The Role We are seeking a Backend Developer with strong experience in Python and FastAPI to build scalable, high-performance backend systems. The role focuses on developing RESTful APIs, working with PostgreSQL , implementing secure backend services, and supporting production-ready applications. The candidate will collaborate with frontend, product, and DevOps teams. Job Description The role involves designing and developing backend services and business logic using Python and FastAPI , with an emphasis on asynchronous programming, API validation, authentication, and reliable application performance. The developer will work extensively with PostgreSQL and SQL , including query optimization, indexing, transactions, and JSON/JSONB data. The position also involves automated testing, Docker-based deployments, CI/CD pipelines, troubleshooting, logging, debugging, and monitoring. The developer will contribute to production deployments and continuous improvements to backend performance and reliability. Key Responsibilities • Design and develop RESTful APIs using FastAPI. • Build backend services and implement business logic using Python. • Develop and optimize PostgreSQL queries and database operations. • Implement authentication, authorization, validation, and secure API practices. • Write and maintain unit and integration tests using tools such as Pytest. • Support Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and production deployments. • Troubleshoot backend issues and improve application performance. • Collaborate with frontend, product, and DevOps teams.
